Become a Friend of Foundation

In the past 11 years, Foundation Academy Amsterdam has provided many migrants and disadvantaged people in different countries with the opportunity to follow academic education.

You should think of Filipino women in Cyprus who work hard for a lean pay and never have the chance to grow further, a low-skilled office worker in Ghana who wants to be more employable, a person belonging to a marginalized group in a restricted country who has little access to formal education, or a refugee in the Netherlands who wants to use his/her waiting time in the asylum seekers center for study. All of these people have had a unique opportunity to study for little money or even in many cases for free.

In the meantime, Foundation Academy of Amsterdam is active in the Netherlands and 4 other countries. The work is growing, but the gifts to make this work possible do not grow. There are less than 10 people who give regular support! If this does not change, it is even the question whether Foundation can continue to exist. Therefore, we make an emergency call to our acquaintances and ask them to become a friend, and to support us monthly. We need a more solid foundation to survive. We now have 180 students and only 25 euros a month is required to give anyone in the world the opportunity to study at one of our fields of social sciences or humanities such as: Theology, Global Studies and Integrated Human Rights education.
